Tahrir Hamdi is a professor of anti-colonial and resistance literature and President of Arab Open University in Jordan. Her book Imagining Palestine won the 2023 Palestine Book Award in the “Counter Current” category. She also received the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation’s Arab Researchers’ Award in 2020. Hamdi serves on several academic journals and co-edited Ghassan Kanafani: Selected Political Works.
